SexyMexy419 0 Posted December 12, 2012 i applied for the dream act at the end of October of this year but previously on 2009 i was caught by la migra and had to go through deportation process, even tho i didnt got deported i still have my last final hearing this March of 2013 but my lawyer helped me to apply n he is optimistic about my deportation to be cancel but how long do you guys waited after applying for the dream act to get your number or actually permit or whatever it is. This is DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) Regarding the processing time, there are a few things like background checks and criminal record checks that will affect how long you are going to have to wait. There are still people from August waiting to hear a decision on their case. On the other hand, there have been people who applied in October that have already been approved. I suggest you go around this site and learn what daca is. There's no example of waiting time that can be given to anyone who is applying for the Deferred Action. Everyone got different cases. http://adreamact.com/2012/11/24/1113/. But if your lawyer's pretty optimistic about your case, be patient and let's wait. It seems like your final hearing for deportation possibly get delayed a little?
