If you go to any Consulado and tell them is an Emergency, they will allow you to get it the same day. Don't wait for your appointment just show up early and take your biometrics appointment with you.. You should get it done as soon as Monday.

I don't think they will take an expired passport, but you may be lucky.

The photo doesn't matter as long as the password is not expired, I was told by the security officer at the entrance.

They do no accept EXPIRED passports. Mine was a less than a month away from the expiration date and the guy told me: "Oh you were close". Then he went on about how the ID you present for the appointment cannot be expired and stuff. If you have a photo ID from school or work or something take it. Best wishes.

i had a passport that was exp in 1997. this pic was from when i was 2 years old. i also took a school id from a couple of years ago, and a birth certificate. that was enough for them to let me do my appointment so i hope that helps calm your nerves

I used an expired passport. My last pic was from '03 or so. I also had my college ID but the guard didn't really look at it. He only took the passport.
