REPutation 83 Posted December 17, 2012 So after going back and forth to the TEXAS DMV, to make an appointment for my permit test, they informed me that I must do an adult driver education and safety course, online preferably. This is a must for all 18 through 24 year olds! But I'm still confused. Once I finish, I will receive a "certificate" will that be my permit to legally operate a vehical? http://www.texasadultdriver.com/
pswa83 302 Posted December 17, 2012 from what i read in the FAQ is that once you complete the course and show it to the DMV, you will not need to take the written test for your permit. so i guess having the certificate will allow you to get your driving permit. REPutation 83 Posted December 18, 2012 Maybe this is just me being sloooow, but once I have the certificate, I will need to go to the DMV and get a permit? So the certificate does not allow me to drive on the road?
pswa83 302 Posted December 18, 2012 the certificate alone wont let you drive. you take it to the DMV, show it to them and apply for your permit. if i understand it correctly, having the certificate allows you to not have to take the written test for the permit.
