hello everyone my name is adriana im from cuactla morelos, i was brought to united states when i was about 4months i was raised here and know nothing about my country except for what part im from lol , i always wanted to go to college but didnt have the money so i was wondering if with the dream act im eligable for financial aid, one more thing my mom said that for the people who been here their whole lives like me can work their way up to resident ? i have a son and dont plan ever going to live in mexico just visit. and is there centers in the new york area to get the application ?

Hi! I'm not sure about the financial aid. I have read, that you can and that you can't. thruthfully, I don't think we will be able to get it. But really, we will have to wait and see until they have everything settled.

& This is what I got from the USCIS.gov page about the residency

Does deferred action provide me with a path to permanent residence status or citizenship?

No. Deferred action is a form of prosecutorial discretion that does not confer lawful permanent resident status or a path to citizenship. Only the Congress, acting through its legislative authority, can confer these rights.

Right now the application isn't ready, but will be on the 15th. I can't tell ya where it will be available in NY but it will be available here http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis .
