Can it be possible to have to wait this long!

Recommended Posts

I have been waiting more than 4 months already my daca application was received on August 20, 2012 .I thought that it was a good idea to contact uscis and inquire with a service request and this is the answer that i received in an email i just think that it is not fair and normal so that means that it is possible that i have to wait a total of 10 months to get a notice wow can't believe it .

The status of this service request is:

Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively

processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this

case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a

decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter,

please contact customer service at the number provided below.

If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service

Center at 1-800-375-5283.

Please remember: By law, every person who is not a U.S. citizen and who is over

the age of 14 must submit Form AR-11 AND notify this office of their change of

address, within 10 days from when they move (persons in "A" or "G" nonimmigrant

status are exempt from this requirement). To notify this office of a move,

visit our website at: www.uscis.gov or call the National Customer Service Center

at 1-800-375-5283. The Form AR-11 can be downloaded from our website or you can

call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283 and we can order one

for you. Instructions for filing the Form AR-11, including mailing

instructions, are included on the Form.

The date of this letter is December 26, 2012 so i think that by June 2013 i would contact them i hope they just said 6 months so i won't bother to contact them again during the rest of the processing.

i think they probably put that "time frame" so that they dont feel pressured to make a decision so fast. june of 2013 would mark 10 months since you first submitted your app and in my opinion that is WAY too long to wait for a decision. i would wait til the end of next month and then if you dont receive anything, i would call them again.

That's really weird. They got my application August 21st, and everything is already done, EAD, ssn, ID.

Maybe you can try asking them why they need extra time for processing?

Remember DACA is in its infancy. DACA process Is 4-6 months. The Key word is PATIENCE! If its more than 6 months of the day you send it. then you should call cus maybe your application was rejected & lost in the mail or Denial process Initiated.
