ツ alejandriiukz ㋡ 41 Posted January 10, 2013 My friend is going to apply for a social security number pretty soon he is 17 years old so that is considered a minor I believe in the state of Missouri so would he need to take his parents so they can sign on his behalf? If so do they need an ID to show that they are his legal guardians?? Thanks
pswa83 302 Posted January 10, 2013 i think he can apply by himself. he doesnt need his parents to go w/ him or sign for him. just make sure he takes everything he needs. passport, EAD, approval letters, and the DACA paper from the SSA website. he should be fine.
