Nuvi 11 Posted August 13, 2012 To start off, what does it mean if you entered without inspection? and what would we need to prove this? This one is confusing and I had a guest ask about it too; I'm not sure what it means! 1 Aled reacted to this

pswa83 302 Posted August 13, 2012 without inspection means that you entered the US without a visa. so if you and/or your family crossed the border and did not have legal paperwork to do so, then you have entered the US without inspection. 1 itzel reacted to this

Nuvi 11 Posted August 13, 2012 wait wait..... it makes sense now but since it says "or your lawful immigration status expired as of June 15, 2012" that means if you came with a visa and passport, right? soooo... this also means we do have to show our expired passport and visa? I will probably have to end up calling uscis. Lol!
pswa83 302 Posted August 13, 2012 yes, Nuvi. you will have to make copies of your visa and passport. if your visa is expired, then you are here illegally. 1 Nuvi reacted to this
Aled 118 Posted August 14, 2012 Hello Nuvi, So as pasw83 explained, yes entering the U.S without inspection simply means that you entered the U.S illegally without getting caught. Obviously this you do not have to prove, after all how can you prove that you entered the U.S supposing you crossed the border. You're not going to have a receipt from the Coyote that says the date which you crossed. What you need to prove if you entered without a visa, is that you came into the U.S before the age of 16. That you must already know. Easy way to prove that is through medical records, immunization records or school records. If you entered the U.S with a visa you may show them a copy of your I-94 card or entry stamp. These are useful for you to prove the date in which you entered the U.S 3 cookie, itzel and mayra reacted to this
Nuvi 11 Posted August 14, 2012 Thank you guys! this really helps... I did enter with a passport and visa anyway. A lot of people are asking if the passport is required, I guess it is if you have it, to prove this exact question. Will it be okay to renew my passport after I file though?
