Is The Consular Id Card Good For Biometrics?

Recommended Posts

Hello, my name is Christian, even though I´m new to the forum I have been reading many posts on this forum. They are very helpful and I´m sure there are hundreds if not thousands of people who read your posts for help. Thanks for all the help and advice, they´re all very helpful ;)

Back to my question.

I recently received my Biometrics appointment letter and it tells me to bring some type of ID and I was wondering if my Mexican Matricula Consular ID will be accepted?

I don´t have a passport by the way.

Do you think I should go make an appointment to get a passport? Or with my Consular ID will be enough?

Thanks in advance :)

Yes, I presented my consular ID because my passport is expired and I had no problem. Biometrics people are really nice actually, don't be scared. You should probably have a school ID with you just in case they want to see another document with your picture they can somewhat relate to. But the Matricula is sufficient enough

In Boston, I used my passport but as I was fishing for it in my purse, the guy mentioned all I needed was my cedula. It was good to know!
