Lebam 3 Posted January 30, 2013 Hi I am from Cali and I recently got approved and I was wondering how long did it take for you guys to receive it in the mail after you were approved? And how long is the SSN taking to arrive also? And when you go to the office do they assign you a number right away or you find out till you get the SSN card in the mail? pswa83 302 Posted January 30, 2013 yes, it should take a few days after your EAD is mailed for you to get it. with the SSN, it all depends on who you get at the SSA office. some people have been given a hard time because the people at the SSA office dont know how to process DACA applicants and others have been told to wait 10 days in order for their EAD to show up in the system. but once your application is approved and processed, it should take between 7 and 14 business days for you to get it. could take shorter or longer. JoseG 383 Posted January 30, 2013 The EAD takes about a week to arrive after you're approved. After you apply for an SSN, the number isn't generated right away. The SSA first has to verify your information, which doesn't take long. You'll probably be assigned a number after 3 days. You can call the SSA and ask if you have been assigned a number, and if you have, you can go to the SSA office and get a printout of your number, or you can just wait 7-14 days to get the SSN in the mail. 1 Yureelee reacted to this Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I don't know if they might not do it for everyone It could be that not all of the Service Centers are doing it but when my card was shipped, the tracking number was in the status. I don't know if they might not do it for everyone That happened to me but a couple of hours later I receive a text saying that my case was updated and that ups just picked up my card and they gave a tracking number!
