Stay With Employer Or Find New Employment?

Recommended Posts

I'm not working right now, but that question has been in my mind too. If you are working with a fake SS #; do you just give HR the new one? Wouldn't that be something?

I told my employer about my new SSN because they knew about my situation so it was actually not hard for me to change my taxes to that. Two months later I switched job because obviously the previous job was not in my field and the pay wasn't that great. But I still asked them to transfer all my tax deductions to my new SSN.

There is something that it's been on my head ever since I had my job interview; when they do a background check on me, there won't be anything, right? 'Cause of the new social, so how would they check my employment history? I suppose they got to call them?

Yeah it depends,  if you really like your job but got not shame you can ask the employer to change it, I know I would, I got no shame! If I didn't like the job very much then I just quit and not tell the tale.

I am currently in the same situation. For the last year Ive been working as a nanny and I get paid really good money. The babies mom whom is a doctor already knows that I received my work permit already and she already asked me if I want to keep working with them so they can go ahead and add them in their payroll.  Im really thankful that I actually had this job while I was going through my daca process and was able to pay for all the fees. I enjoy being a nanny, but its really not my thing. I would love to go back to working as a medical assistant. Now I have this difficult decision to take. Either keep being a nanny where I get paid really good money or let the doctor know that I am planning on quitting and finding a job as a medical assistant. Good Luck to me.
