tetesina 3 Posted February 12, 2013 My hubby and i are planing on taking our kids on a road trip from Ca to Tx, but i haven't beem approved yet..... Do you think it's too risky to go just with my application receipt letters?
Rawf 336 Posted February 12, 2013 Depends if there is any part on the highway where they will ask for your documents. I took a road trip from RI to Texas which is a 30 hours drive and didn't have issues, but you are on the other side of the country. I know someone went to Texas and went through a check point, but that someone had already been accepted. It depends how confident and planned your road trip is. Check where the check points are and then plan from there 1 tetesina reacted to this
lencho90 2 Posted February 13, 2013 I think its risky even more if your driving into Texas with other state plates. You're more lucky to get pulled over and asked for documents. My family and I use to live Texas before moving to Nebraska.
edxxx 9 Posted February 14, 2013 I drove from LA to Houston last year....just take the 40 all the way, avoid the 10, lots of immigration checkpoints in AZ and TX.
