I am gathering as much paperwork as possible, do I have to send the paperwork of proof of my stay here with my application, or do I send the application first and then they ask for proof?

no. the "expiration" date on the DACA application just means that USCIS can update the application after that date. all USCIS applications have an "expiration" date on them.

you send all your evidence with your applications. if USCIS wants more, then they with send you a RFE letter. (request for evidence)
