Guest Paully Posted February 19, 2013 Date Application mailed - August 15, 2012 Date Application accepted - August 17, 2012 Service Center Application was sent to- Nebraska Service Center Date of Biometrics Appointment- September 22, 2012 Date of DACA and EAD approval- PENDING So it has been 6 months from the day I applied, today February 19th I called USCIS (English ext: 12016, Spanish ext: 22016) and they send a service request to the jurisdiction that is handling my case (Nebraska), which I have to wait 15 days for me to get a response from them, not about approval for EAD or DACA but regarding of why my case taking so long, when I asked the representative whats is the waiting time now?, or there isn't any?, she said : " well is case by case therefore it could take longer than expected" so i asked again , "is there a waiting time?", she said " just follow the instruction on the service request that i have just done for you". so is clear to me that there is not a waiting time it is BS that they keep saying 4 to 6 months I seen enough people on this forum that are waiting for 6 months and perhaps there are those who are NOT in this forum and still went pass the "6 month waiting time" and i dont expect to be believed but when i call they treat you with this rude tone of voice, or as my last call they sounded as if they were slacking off with a will to work but thats just me as it is now I have to wait 15 more days for a response of why my case taking long not even for an approval 1 Fresita22 reacted to this
splif0clock 89 Posted February 19, 2013 From what I have read on other forms, you most probably are going to get the same msg telling you, it will take few more months to finalize your approval. I had high hopes that I would get a concrete response but it seems like we're going to hit a wall with the service request. I really don't understand why but it is what it is man. 1 Fresita22 reacted to this

Guest Paully Posted February 19, 2013 I thought i was gonna b within the " 4 - 6 month" i sign up for grad school thinking i would get approve fast enough for me to get a job and afford it, now am running out of cash I don't know how i will make it to next semester, perhaps am raging a lil bit but i have the feeling that they just intentionally making it hard on us going back to politics and social issues..... if u know wat i mean 1 Gezinha reacted to this
Laste31 41 Posted February 19, 2013 They're like freaking machines, I hate the fact that whenever you call they repeat the same thing over and over its like they're programmed! Right now they say 4-6 months then its gonna be 1 year
Guest Paully Posted February 19, 2013 exactly ! so then why not at 1st say undefined time, that way now ppl can start actually organize themselves or adjust their budget to not run into trouble , now it may b that is a mistake to assume things would happen but when u are given a period of time by a "higher authority" you hope that is done as being told. taramo35 27 Posted February 19, 2013 After they approve ur DACA they can still tell u they have 90 days to process ur work permit
Guest Paully Posted February 19, 2013 so from DACA to EAD is apparently """"" 9 month waiting time """".....
EL_Aviles 12 Posted February 19, 2013 i wouldn't blame them , they have so much cases to handle , every week a handfull are being approve and we waited what more then months or years with out a permit or etc, another year wouldn't hurt? go out with girlfriend , gym, work or family to get your head out of this for a while , your just stressing over nothing youll be approve, it just will take some time. Santi 353 Posted February 19, 2013 Just wanted to add that they start counting from when they take your Biometrics, not when you first applied... So keep that in mind. Also, I guess the September bios are starting to get approvals. I did my bios on Sep 14th, and I got accepted last week. Therefore, approvals are coming...you have waited so long, what's a couple of weeks? Check this post, so you can see how long you have really waited. 1 taramo35 reacted to this

JoseG 383 Posted February 19, 2013 You'll just have to wait until you get the response from the Service Request. Maybe they'll expedite your case if it's just sitting there. Or they'll start telling people that they need to wait longer than the expected processing date.

taramo35 27 Posted February 22, 2013 I'm was about to do a service request but I lost some of the papers Uscis send me because I moved out to another and somehow I lost em ... And I need that information to do the service request ... Does anybody know where can I get that information ? :S
taramo35 27 Posted February 23, 2013 I just did a service reques from them and the same thing they are gonna let me know within 15 days and if not i have to call again!
Guest Paully Posted February 23, 2013 as long as u still have your case number they should b able to pull out all your information, when i called them for the service request the only asked me for my case (LINXXXXXXXX) and then they passed me to an agent i believe where he asked my information to confirm it was me. and yes in 15 -.- i would expect a queue 1st come 1st served , even tho is case by case . so if you are 1st and ur case takes long prob they jump to the 2nd one, once they done with the it, they go back to your case may be they should learn "shortest remaining time algorithm with a combination of round robin algorithm" that would make this process way way more efficient i still think they are trolling -.- ... at this point but thats just me.... And after few times they sent me a letter saying that I won't be able to get green card at this time but due to my situation they won't deport me ...
