The Pink stripe and the "NO LAWFUL STATUS" are quite excessive.

They could have simply put TEMPORARY or LIMITED TERM like other states if they wanted to differentiate it from the regular IDs and DLs.

yeah its pretty lame haveinng that issued on a DL, has what about california DL will they have issued something like similiar to all dreamers? or will it be a normal DL in cali?

In California the Driver Licenses and IDs will be the same for us as the regular ones.

The only difference is that some people are given 2 year ID and Licenses while others are getting 6 year IDs and 5 year Licenses.

I don't really get the whole purpose of this stripe thing, they know sooner or later some form of immigration reform would pass. And, it makes me wonder why spend money and time trying to implement this flawed system ??

It still isn't known exactly why that happens. The only speculation is that it probably depends on what information the worker at the DMV enters into the computer from your EAD when you go to apply.

NC is a nice place to live but they have some of the stupidest law makers. This whole licenses things is very racist and also they wont give them till next month (if at all). They were giving them out, untill the republicans took over the state this year. Ive had a couple of friends including me go to the NC DMV to get our licenses but they say we have to wait till the law changes. You ask them when and they say they dont know. Its bad enough waiting in line for hours just to get told that you CANNOT get your driver license.
