Jose_Gee 27 Posted February 26, 2013 Apperantly a lot of cases are being transferred to different centers and people are getting notified through email or text if they signed up for Case Updates on the USCIS webiste. And they're receiving letters in the mail saying that their cases are being transferred and where to. Be on the look out for those!

Gezinha 121 Posted February 27, 2013 Amor, I wonder what is going on with your case. I have seen 2 other people here on the forum that got their cases tranferred to Nebraska, so, they can probably approve/deny or get to it in time. I am sorry if you have already posted something about your situation and I don't remember, but did you try calling the center? Are you appplying with a lawyer? I just saw someone, I don't remember his name, but he said he got approved withing 20 days...as happy as I am for him, that is so messed up. This just proves they are not doing anything in an orderly fashion. And if my case got transferred to make it in time, yours should have moved much sooner than mine. I am sorry you are going thru this, you are one of the earliest applicants on this forum, you should have your stuff already. 1 amor reacted to this

amor 112 Posted March 1, 2013 Thanks @Genzinha! I haven't called... I haven't heard of one person who has successfully gotten any information out of them or sped their case along so I haven't bothered. Maybe I'll try on Monday. It's been forever.... I'm being super patient thankfully but it'd be really nice to get approved soon. @Luna, what else did they tell you? Just to call back? And why?
amor 112 Posted March 4, 2013 OK, so I just called and jesus christ... you guys weren't joking about talking to human computers. That was frustrating and I will never get those 15 minutes of my life back. I seriously wish I could have recorded that... After telling the lady I applied for Deferred Action and it will have been 6 months on Wednesday and I was still in Initial Review she asked me literally 4 times if I was calling about general information on applying for DACA or about a pending case. I gave her my case number after convincing her 4 times that my case was very much real, and asked her if there was a way to transfer my case to a lockbox that was moving faster than the Vermont location and I think her brain exploded. She put me on hold for 10 minutes and then came back and asked me to confirm that I was calling about an existing case that I applied for and that I hadn't been approved yet..... In summary, she said I could contact the lockbox of my choosing myself by sending in a letter asking to be transferred. I asked her what I should include in that letter other than my full name and case number and she said she didn't have that information. Holy batman, they are useless. Back to the waiting game. Gezinha 121 Posted March 4, 2013 Wow, I wonder if they play stupid on purpose or they have to go through training for that haha. That is ridiculous, why shoud you have to transfer your case yourself? They are almost over the 6 month period for waiting, they should do it themselves and speed it up, I mean, isn't that their job? You paid your fee for it to be processed. This is just absolutely insane, telling people to wait 6 months and leaving cases untouched on a desk. As much as I am happy for people that get approved quickly, I can't help but full on rage when I see that someone sent their case in 30 days ago, and got approved in 15 days. Of course, I am not mad at the applicant, but mad at the people at the facilities who are not smart enough to sort out applications by date. How hard is that? Seriously, I hate to say this, but sometimes I think people working for the government are morons on purpose because they need to be ignorant about what goes on in those places in order for the government to keep milking money, patience and time off people. 1 amor reacted to this

dreamer123 9 Posted March 6, 2013 Does anybody know why Vermont is taking so long? I have seen many people in Cali get their bio done in Dec or Jan and got approved in Feb and March????
JoseG 383 Posted March 6, 2013 Vermont is the busiest of the four Service Centers.
dreamer123 9 Posted March 6, 2013 Another thing I have noticed is that they are transferring people from the Vermont center that got their bio done around Nov 20-30. And after. I don't know if I should be happy my case didn't get transferred to Nebraska or sad The wait is making me crazy lol!
Gezinha 121 Posted March 11, 2013 I wonder why VT even is the busiest center because the western part of the country has had the majority of applicants, and that means applicantions went to Texas, Nevada and Cali. The VT are probably a smaller staff, that has got to be it. No way they have received such a huge amount like the other centers. Applications were apparently divided by region and matched up to a center closer to where the application came from. I just don't understand this lack of attention they have with all paperwork. Not processing it by date and not knowing what info to give applicants when they call this far into the process, it has been over 7 months, they should know what to tell people when they call, and this incessant request for RFE, people end up sending the exact same paperwork they sent to begin with, and then, like magic, things turn "okay", what the hell kind of service is that? I guess it is just not okay to say they "misplaced" your original documentation, it sounds "unprofessional". Well, just hope for the best I guess, I hope we are all not waiting much longer. 1 dreamer123 reacted to this

The funny thing is my case was also rerouted but it doesn't show up when I check my case status. Just got a letter in the mail. If Vermont knew they had such a huge work load or small staff, they should have rerouted a long time ago. I just hope our cases are not lined up behind other Nebraska cases. It wouldn't be fair to wait another 2-3 months. 1 Gezinha reacted to this

And if they sent the cases to Nebraska, you know that they didn't even open the damn file, except to take the money out. An this whole "UNDER REVIEW" thing on out statuses is probably bullshit, because it probably takes about 3-4 days to do a brackground check, and they just leave it like that for us to think they are actually doing something, when in reality, the file is just sitting there and no one will touch it until, maybe someone with good sense walks by and sees that the 6 months are almost up, or when we call to know about it. And of, course, that is when they don't know what to say because to acutally get up from their desk and go look for our cases is way too much work, and beyond their pay grade. 1 dreamer123 reacted to this
