Gino10 30 Posted February 27, 2013 Hi everybody, id like to know if anybody here has made an infopass appointment with USCIS? I have one scheduled for tomorrow in Newark NJ and i am wondering what to expect. My appointment is regarding to my employment authorization case status. It has been five months and no news. Please if someone here has experienced an infopass appointment, leave me some suggestions.....I'll appreciate it!!

taramo35 27 Posted February 27, 2013 You don't need to see a lawyer to make an info pass appointment, you can do it yourself at http://infopass.uscis.gov/ ... it doesnt really say that is going to speed up the process or anything positive
splif0clock 89 Posted February 27, 2013 If you have already paid the lawyer ( which I think was a waist of money), go ahead and do it through your lawyer. But, Info path sets up an appointment at your local USCIS office so you can speak with an immigration officer. It doesn't guarantee you that your case would be expedited after speaking with an officer though.
JoseG 383 Posted February 27, 2013 I always had the assumption that an infopass appointment was the same as calling USCIS.
taramo35 27 Posted February 27, 2013 I always had the assumption that an infopass appointment was the same as calling USCIS. thats what it seems like and yes i regret paying a lawyer . i didnt know so whats the difference between an info pass n service request? Gino10 30 Posted February 27, 2013 @jose and tamaro, i called uscis today. I told them i was concern with the long waiting status of my case. They said they were gonna do s service request which apparently is just send an email to the department holding my case. By doing that ill have to wait about two three weeks for the service request response. Whereas infopass happens to be that one personally goes to the closest immigration office for answers..in other words ill be doing both; service request and the info pass tomorrow..... 1 taramo35 reacted to this
