66354dream 9 Posted March 1, 2013 I have an appointment with the Mexican council on march 4th for my matricula, but if I were to request my Mexican passport what would need to be done? Has any one here gotten theirs?
ruthie_sue08 31 Posted March 1, 2013 Do you mean what you would need to take with you to get it?
pswa83 302 Posted March 1, 2013 for your passport, you need your birth certificate. a certified copy of it. it's gotta have a stamp on the back or where ever they put it. ( on my BC it was a purple stamp on the back). you need 2 passport size photos, you can get them done at Rite Aid or Wal-greens. you need something with your name, as it appears on your BC that also has your address. you need to have 2 or 3 copies of all of this as well. you'll need to fill out the passport application and have copies of that too. you can usually google your city and mexican consulate and see if that website will have a passport application that you can download. the fee for the passport is $101 for 6 yrs. 66354dream 9 Posted March 1, 2013 Thank you for the responses, I was just wondering if it could be one of those "while I'm here " things.
pswa83 302 Posted March 1, 2013 it could be if you're prepared. however, the setup of when they do passports and when they do matricula. like passports one day and marticula the next. but you can always call and ask if you can add the passport to your appt. 66354dream 9 Posted March 2, 2013 I'll give it a try when I'm there, I hope I get someone that's willing to help out and not someone who's attitude is like the people at court that act like they're better everyone else,,, I don't mean to sound negative but I tend to over think almost everything.
