Dreamer81 0 Posted March 4, 2013 Hi I'm new here, I been granted Deferred Action , and want to know if there is any student loans I can Apply? I enrolled in School major Nursing, but been paying out of my own pocket but it's getting really hard for me now. Is there any loans out there for us ? ruthie_sue08 31 Posted March 4, 2013 I'm pretty sure there are loans but my sister in law said that after your 2 years of temporary legal status are up with DACA if you try to renew the process & they see you have unpaid loans to the government, it could stall the process & put you at risk for deportation. Not to sure how true this all is but she said it would be safer to.find grants even though they are really hard to come by especially to someone with temporary legal status. ruthie_sue08 31 Posted March 21, 2013 Have you looked into state financial aide? I'm from Texas & they have a sort of FASFA for Texas residents who don't qualify for FASFA.
