I don't think so. It's a U.S. territory and you will only come across TSA agents. All you need to show them is your ID. If for whatever reason you come across Border Patrol, you just have to prove your Legal Presence to them. You aren't traveling from a foreign country into the U.S. or vice versa.

What about a license from NC where it shows that you have no legal status. Technically it should not be a problem coming back from the island, but you never know what might happen to an unlucky person.

In my personal opinion, thats still risky. I dont take any chances. Its up to you.

Well like I said, if you were to come in contact with CBP, you just have to prove your Legal Presence. That's something that can be easily done with your EAD and DACA approval letter. I don't see it any different than if we were to come in contact with Immigration within the U.S. You won't be stepping on foreign soil or port of entry. That's why U.S. Citizens and LPRs don't need Passports.

In my opinion, there isn't much of a risk, but like you said, it's up to whoever is traveling whether they think it is or not.

I just got back from PR on Tuesday, the tsa guy looked at my drivers license and handed it right back (my license is about to expire) then I remembered I had a couple of questions so I went back and asked him if my 2 younger sisters who have no Id could travel to PR from florida, and all he said was "of course underage children don't need identification." So yea, it's a domestic flight, nothing to worry about, as Long as you have your id you will be alright, stop freaking out people. Next stop Waikiki!!!

Not risky at all. Some state ID/DL have "not vaild for identification" so you cannot board a plane using that ID. If you have your EAD, that is a federal ID.

Traveling to puerto rico is like traveling to any US state since they are domestic flights. But again, if you thinking flying to any plane is risky, that is on you. Remember, we cannot be deported since we are granted deferred action. If they detain you, simply show that letter and they cannot deport you.

Underage kids do need identification, what is he talking about.

How would they know if the kid is a legal child and not stealing it from some other place?

Omg this is so cool!!!! I wonder if my parents and I could take a family trip!!! They have driver license but are not legal here! :-/ any opinions anyone? My mom also won a trip from her work to go to Hawaii but she didn't except it. They gave her 1000 dollars instead how lame ha!!! But anyone any comments ???

Only passengers 18 and over are required to show a state ID according to the TSA website. I also remember traveling when I was under 18 and wasn't asked for an ID. I remember taking my school ID with me though, I don't remember if I was asked for it. The parents do have to fill out a form though, with the minors general information, but that's about it.

I don't know about that. For us who are DACA approved, we don't have a problem traveling because if we encounter CBP for whatever reason, we can prove our status, so there is no danger.
