Osha 126 Posted March 17, 2013 It seems like there's some progress, they're taking baby steps this time around. The AFL-CIO and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce have to come to an agreement before these different immigration bills come to the Senate and House floor for debate. I don't want to see the repeat of 2007 again, the disagreements between those two organisations help bring down the 2007 immigration reform bill. We've to get ready for showdown in Congress this summer and whatever happenes I want the Dream Act to be intanct.
pswa83 302 Posted March 17, 2013 true. and i honestly think that it will happen this yr. i think this time around not only do we have a different president but the republicans seem to know now, more then before, that it needs to get done.

I agree, this time it will happen. We have to be ready to make those phone calls in the summer. Moderate republicans want to get immigration done but those right-wingers will fight back and they will push back hard.
