taramo35 27 Posted March 19, 2013 as u can see in my timeline , im only waiting on my work permit. i cant do anything with just my daca approved, not even an ID ( i made a service request but for what i know, i dont really think that makes any differece in ur case. :/ i know someone else made an appointment with an agent before but i never heard how that went ... ! did anyone talk to him after that appointment ? maybe he got deported lol ( bad joke) but it does cross my mind :/ SOS
JoseG 383 Posted March 19, 2013 They didn't respond to the Service Request? If they didn't, your lawyer should have e-mailed the Service Center directly. Calling in if both of your applications are still pending won't really do much, but in this case, your I-821D was approved and USCIS clearly states that they should give you a response within 90 days on your I-765. 1 taramo35 reacted to this
taramo35 27 Posted March 19, 2013 N u think an email would do more than talking to an agent?
JoseG 383 Posted March 19, 2013 Well, it's basically the same thing, but you get to talk to a person on the INFOPASS so you might be able to get more information from it. When you make a Service Request and you don't get a response, you can then e-mail the Service Center directly. I just checked the website and they just recently changed the response time from 15 days to 30 days. So maybe you will give the Service Request response within this week. taramo35 27 Posted March 19, 2013 They did send me a letter saying that my case is waiting to be reviewed
JoseG 383 Posted March 19, 2013 Hopefully your lawyer asks them why they give the 90 day processing time when they won't follow it. 1 taramo35 reacted to this
Imski 9 Posted March 20, 2013 what is a service request and how do i get a service request?
JoseG 383 Posted March 20, 2013 what is a service request and how do i get a service request? A service request is done to inquire about your case. You have to call the NCSC 1-800-375-5283 number and speak to a representative to put in a Service Request, or you can do an e-service request on the USCIS website. Gino10 30 Posted March 20, 2013 i did both, service request and infopass. Infopass; must bring ID, your country passport, prepare yourself what you are gonna be asking, dress properly and just ask normal and confident like any other civilian looking for information. Oh dont wear too much jewel, or any metal. The security is very strict getting into immigration building. it's like going into an international airport...Nothing out of the ordinary. Sometimes our fears are greater than the actual events we face in life. I am not gonna lie to you i was really nervous... Good luck!! 1 taramo35 reacted to this

No. A Service Request can be done if your application has exceeded the processing time. The DACA application doesn't have an official processing time, so if you do a Service Request for it, you will just be told that your application is still under review or waiting to be reviewed. 1 Fresita22 reacted to this
