BrianL 0 Posted March 29, 2013 Hello Dreamers, I am new to this website. Just have one question for you all. My biometric appointment was on March 6th. During that day we had the huge snow storm in Virginia area. When I arrived to the biometric building I found out it was closed. So what do I need to do next? I've called USCIS, they told me only thing I can do now its wait, I mean its been 3 weeks now. Anyone can give me any suggestions? Thanks.
REPutation 83 Posted March 29, 2013 I was about to say, how is that possible?! Well due to that situation, you should be able to walk In and show them your appointment date and I'm sure They would be aware of the recent weather. But you should not have waited! Wait for what! Get back in! Hurry your wasting your approval time! Lol

BrianL 0 Posted April 10, 2013 Thank you guys for the comments. I just walked in this week, and got it done. Now do I need to do anything else or just wait? And also how do you all check your status on the uscis website? since I have 2 receipt numbers, one is for I-821D and another is for I-765. Does it matter which one I put in? Thanks. Santi 353 Posted April 10, 2013 Thank you guys for the comments. I just walked in this week, and got it done. Now do I need to do anything else or just wait? The next thing you have to do is wait until they review your application and give you a decision. In regards to the 2 receipt numbers: I-821D is for your application for Deferred Action I-765 is for your Work Authorization You can check both of them here: https://egov.uscis.g...d/CaseStatus.do Input any of them, and you will be able to track the status of both applications through the pipeline. However, you should be advised that sometimes it takes a while for your information to be updated in the system for you to track it, and other times you won't be able to track it at all (I couldn't track mine for like 6mos until I got approved). Hope this helps and be patient, you could be approved rather quickly, or you could wait 4 to 6 + months like many others. Cheers and welcome to the Forum!
