Cheeselover 0 Posted April 1, 2013 "You must sign your application in the signature block if you are 14 years of age or older. Your parent or guardian may sign their name in the signature block if you are younger than 14. Your signature or a parent's or guardian's signature in the "Signature of person preparing form, if other than above" block is not a valid signature for this purpose..." I have called twice asking what they mean by this. The first time the lady who answered told me to write a letter saying that I was preparing the papers for myself and that that was my signature. I did that, returned it, and then it was returned to me again. I called back, and the guy who answered didn't understand why and said he didn't know how to help me. For my application I used my First Name, Middle Name, Last Name-Other Name. Do they want meto use all fo them then? I asked the man and he know what to tell me. Can anyone help me at all? Give me any tips or advice? I have attached a picture to help visually.
splif0clock 89 Posted April 1, 2013 From the picture you included the application is for I-765. Are you sure you signed the I-821D application also ? I would highly recommend that you get a lawyer to review your application (no offense) also but you can check my post below regarding your question if you don't want to go that route. splif0clock 89 Posted April 1, 2013 - I-821D application:- On page 4, you are required to sign and date your application. And, right above it, you indicate that you were the one who prepared it yourself by checking box 1.a See picture below
