christmastree77 19 Posted April 4, 2013 Is it true that you have to wait 10 days after DACA approval to apply for an SSN? I was just wondering because I read that somewhere, but I don't remember where
itzel 336 Posted April 4, 2013 Most people have mentioned that due to waiting for SS administration having to sync/update their records accordingly wiht USCIS. I think if you wait at least 3 that should be enough. I only waited 2 days, but it was because I already had a SS#, it just said NOT VALID FOR EMPLOYMENT and all I had to do was a get a new card with that restriction take off, but still got to keep my same #. Good luck. 1 christmastree77 reacted to this
chrzt1an 14 Posted April 5, 2013 yes wait 10, days btw you get your work permit. 7 to 8 days have passed. it just sucks waiting in as a walk in, for them to just tell you to come back. i was a walk in 3 times and all those times i waited more than a hour. good luck 1 christmastree77 reacted to this
Rawf 336 Posted April 5, 2013 No need to wait, that was at the beginning when the operators at the ssn center were not familiar with the process. You can go the next day if wanted. 3 itzel, christmastree77 and Gino10 reacted to this
