Recommended Posts

I was wondering and my question is when i filled out my daca application i only wrote my first, middle and fathers last name on my application, was i supposed to include my other last name which is my mothers ? My birth certificate, passport and matricula have both last names but my school papers don't have my mothers last name will that affect me in any way?

When I applied I put my first and last name on the application, but matricula and passport have my first last and 2nd last name, when I went to get bios done they confirm your identity with ur matricula, they just added my second last name so I guess they'll add it themselves for you.

because both my birth certificate and my passport (both Mexican) have both of my last names, i wrote down both last names on my DACA application and the EAD application. Now, my EAD, SSN, DL, and State ID have both last names.

Whatever is on your passport and your birth certificate is what you should put on your deferred action application.

I honestly don't know if that would have any negative burden on your application but my guess is that it won't. I believe that the adjudicators will use their best judgement when it comes to names and other minors things. I had somewhat of a similar situation but mine was that my name on my birth certificate and passport was spelled differently from my other documents such as school records but that didn't stop them from approving me, so I think you'll be fine.
