Yuly87 15 Posted April 17, 2013 My application was received on September 13. I had my fingerprints on October 23..my case been updated twice with a rfe..the first time was on February 13, I never received the letter. After calling uscis so many times about it apparantly it was a computer error. We file a service request and they respond with a letter saying that my case was under review and I should receive a response by the end of April. April 5 my case was updated to another rfe..days went by and I never got my letter..yesterday I called immigration..(yes I have an attorney ..last time I met with him was when I paid him)..until this point I'm the one calling immigration to get updates on my case !!. After emails and calling him and no word back..so I called immigration to find out if my case was another computer error update or what's going on?...I was transfer to an officer and he was very strict with the update..he said this time they sent a real rfe letter that my attorney should have got already and that he hasn't respond. The officer said they will not send anymore letters if there was ever an adress change my attorney was responsible for all those changes..he said if we didn't respond to this last letter my case will be denied. I started crying .what have I done wrong I did everything I could to make this possible and now my case can be denied for the attorney mistake! !! Have anyone switch attorney or been thru a similar case???

Yuly87 15 Posted April 17, 2013 When was the latest RFE sent? ...and did you contact your lawyer about the latest RFE? April 5 I never received the letter. I contacted my lawyer and he didn't even bother to check my case..I had to let him know about the update..I showed up at his office yesterday and all he kepy saying was not to worry that he will fix everything. .I AM WORRIED. .TIME IS RUNNING. .and he is not helping. .the immigration officer said it was a 30days notice to respond to the rfe
Gezinha 121 Posted April 17, 2013 Yeah, you should check the letter they sent and send the evidence they are asking for by yourself, I hate scumbag attorneys. I did mine and 3 other applications, and everyone got approved. Attorneys are just hungry money sucking leaches. They take on 100 cases and do them all half assed without a thought or regard for the people are actually supposed to be helping. Go get the letter, and if he doesn't give it to you, you tell him you will report him. This is absurd! Don't miss this chance because of this, go get the letter from him. Good luck! ***And if they are asking for more evidence, you can send ebay and paypal stuff, just so you know, to speed up the process in case they are asking for more dates in your case. 1 Osha reacted to this

itzel 336 Posted April 17, 2013 Apart from camping in his office and demanding his help to get your money's worth for his services, you can insinuate that the North Carolina Law Bar would be very interested in hearing about your case and the events surrounding it and that his negligence/error causing your case to be in jeopary and have the possibility of dismissal could lead to an investigation that could remove his law practicing license. I work in a law office and have seen how nervous the attorneys get when a client mentions taking the complain and opening a case with the respective law bar association. Good luck. 2 kayej87 and engineer2mike reacted to this
Gezinha 121 Posted April 17, 2013 Well, if he didn't get the letter or lost it, you should go to his office and make him call uscis in front of you and explain the situation. Then you will be satisfied that he did all he was capable of doing. Being an attorney, he can do a lot of things a regular citizen can't. He has to do something about this.
