Alequiroz 13 Posted April 18, 2013 my application was approved on august 29, 2012, did my biometrics on october 1, 2012. I have no criminal record at all!! & ive been waiting for a decision but i dont get one. We are on April already and still nothing :'( I check my case status more than once a day & its on initial review. I am getting really frustraded I sent out a service request already and they just sent me an email telling me to wait because it is a case by case situation and my case was still in review. my sister and i sent out our applications the same day, and the biometrics were the same day as well. she was approved the beginnings of december. I am going to 7 months I even made an appointment at the immigration building her in California, but they could not help me they told me that I was not the only one waiting and that there is about 55,000 applications just here in Cali. I use to check my status every day but it has not move from Initial Review.I also have called and just like some of you they tell me that they are on the August applications. Not nice but what can I do. I just wish we can all get approve and move on with our files to a better future. Good luck to all of us and to those who are approve already I'm happy for you . Alequiroz 13 Posted April 19, 2013 my lawyer called and also did a service request and they just told him i had to wait yeah they told me that too. you have to wait 15 days after the service request to see if they send u an email or letter regarding what is going on with your case. if they dont get back at you within the 15 days u have to call back. Nholguin89 9 Posted April 20, 2013 I know the waiting part really sucks, I waited for 6 months. but if its any comfort, when you get your EAD card in the mail, everything after that goes so fast, I got mine on a Friday, applied for a social that next Tuesday, picked up a official form with my SSN on Thursday, and got my drivers licence the Tuesday after. Its kinda funny because I got my licence before I got my SS card in the mail, I guess what I am trying to get across is that when it finally happens and everything starts coming together, how long you waited seems really really worth it, I still hold my licence and stare at it like it was a new born I even got a new wallet to put it in, ANYWAY.
