Gezinha 121 Posted April 18, 2013 Mine took 6 months exactly, and some other people have been waiting since August or September and the wait time are only getting longer. But you know, wait until next month, it probably won't go over 8 months. 1 SaraMaravilla reacted to this
SaraMaravilla 11 Posted April 18, 2013 I'm just wondering some people are telling me to not worry to much about it that is I woulda had a problem they woulda told me by now or I'd I woulda been denied I woulda known by now or that If I woulda gotten an RFE I woulda known by now idk what to think lol ;/
Gezinha 121 Posted April 18, 2013 oh, you definitely won't know abuout an RFE until they open your file. Trust me, they have not opened your file for anything other than taking the money inside. I got an RFE 5 and a half months after I sent it, that means my file was sitting there for 5 months, no one bothered to check, except to look at my name and my number and put it on the Initial Review thing. It couls still be 8 months and you could get an RFE just because that is when they opened your file to actually do a review of the info you sent. But the good thing is you could get approved at any moment, and if you get an RFE you can just send back the info and you will be approved in less than 2 weeks for sure. JoseG 383 Posted April 18, 2013 Gezinha is right. Most likely your application is just sitting there waiting to be reviewed, along with many others.

roadrunner11 167 Posted April 19, 2013 Call call call... It wouldn't hurt to move the waters and see if someone picks up your case.
SaraMaravilla 11 Posted April 20, 2013 It's so upsetting but I must admit I bet it's just sitting their especially after they see how thick my stack is of papers I'm afraid I might of sent too many papers ::
SaraMaravilla 11 Posted April 20, 2013 Do you guys think it makes a difference if you got a lawyer?
Gezinha 121 Posted April 20, 2013 You can never have too much proof. I am glad I did not get a lawyer, cause I have seen some bad stories here, people are not as informed about their cases if they get a lawyer, of course, depending on the lawyer. But if you did everything correctly, you do not need to worry, you will be approved soon. You will see that you are worrying for nothing, just relax and be confident that you made the right choices.
