Did I miss anyone covering this topic? Has anyone experienced this? This means that in 10 days, they will finally submit my application and when I receive a letter in the mail, I can get a printout of my SSN. Well - To be honest with you, many dreamers that get approved still have to keep waiting for other stuff, like landing a job (this guy)... Well, by now, we should be masters at the waiting game, so what is ~10 days if you will be good to go after you receive your SSN (it usually takes less than 4 weeks). Gezinha 121 Posted April 26, 2013 Yes someoone mentioned one time that the administration wasn't able to give them a ssn because the work authorization was so new. This was a while ago and I don't temember who. I applied on a Monday and went back on a Thursday to get the number, not the card, the card arrived in the mail a few days later. Osha 126 Posted April 27, 2013 The Social Security Administration have to verify your information with USCIS before generating a Social Security number for you, that might be the reason why there's a slight delay. I read of plenty of people going the day after receiving their EAD and they had a waiting period. But oh well! Hopefully once my application is submitted, it won't take too long! amor 112 Posted June 4, 2013 UGH!!!! Everything is taking painfully long. Almost 8 months to get approved and now 2 months to get my SSN?! Not even the actual card, just a damn printout! It's been 6 weeks and counting and they still haven't received confirmation from USCIS. I was told it could take up to 8 weeks so of course, its going to take the longest possible time! ARGH! Wouldn't be so frustrated if it wasn't so nice out and I didn't have an interview lined up for a job. humco707 0 Posted June 4, 2013 wow that's BS cause I got accepted for EAD on the 29th of May, card came in priority mail yesterday and I went to the SSO today, applied with no problem the guy didn't even mention anything about a 10 day wait. I can either wait for it to come in the mail or go back in two days and request a print out(I'm doing that) Hang in there!! I know how it is waiting I did my biometrics on 17/12/12 and then we got a package from USCIS in April I got so excited but it was a f*cking RFE because my mom didn't send enough evidence -____- , sent it back, 1 week later the evidence was returned cause I didn't put a damn piece of paper that came with the RFE -____________- I found the blue paper and sent it back. Then on the 29th, I got the text alert to check my status I went to my gmail and I was accepted!!!!! You're further in than out take it from me I know exactly how the long ass frustrating wait is. Thanks a lot Humco! I actually should have been calling yesterday instead of freakin out on here because USCIS FINALLY replied yesterday! I am going to get a printout of my number on Friday and they say I should be getting my card within a week, but I'll believe it when I see it lol FINALLY!!!
