Rickyerique 2 Posted August 21, 2012 I called a lawyer today, because I saw on his website saying that be aware of scams.. Blah blah call me and I can help you. So I called and asked for a price and they told it would be 1,500 plus the application. So that's like 2 thousand dollars. I was like HECK NOO. Lol
pswa83 302 Posted August 21, 2012 that is way too much to pay. if you can read and follow the instructions then most people can fill out the applications themselves.

JoseG 383 Posted August 21, 2012 Call different attorneys and ask them how much they charge. $1500 seems quite steep.
itzel 336 Posted August 21, 2012 If I had hired an attorney, I wouldnt have paid him more than $200 and thats not including the application fee or passport photo fee or price for making all the copies... 1 Rawf reacted to this
amor 112 Posted September 3, 2012 I think the most important thing to look out for is a good track record. Try your hardest to find a lawyer someone you know has used. Don't be shy to ask for references or see their success rate. I had been going through my immigration process before DACA came out so my current lawyer filled everything out for me and put together my evidence and I paid him $1,000. They can give you payment plans (I pay $250 a month) and personally, it's worth every penny to know that it's going to be done correctly since my situation is a bit more complicated. Good luck! 2 JoseG and Rickyerique reacted to this
