diegosays 4 Posted May 10, 2013 This is like a pregnancy. Excited and nervous at the same time. Hoping all is well at the end, even though I'm a guy. Sent in my packet August 30th and they received it September 4th. Spoke with a rep today and first requested a service request but he let me know that they are currently reviewing the application is August 31, 2012 (today 5/10/2013) and that I should wait until Tuesday, May 14th to get approved. If I don't get approved, he recommended to call back on Wednesday and schedule a service request. This is a bit of good reassurance and I just don't know how much of it is true and I'm just hoping for the best whether it be by Tuesday or the end of May. Received: 9/4/12 Biometrics: 10/2/12 No RFE Vermont Service Center Any thoughts on this, hope this bit of info helps. Mee 16 Posted May 10, 2013 Yes I have plenty of times n yet I haven't been approved..I doubt they r working on august apps cause I've seen a lot of September applications approved. I think at this point all we have is to wait... oh n I recently did a service request n it told me I should hear something in 60 days. I would hope I would because by then it will be august. sotero_gonzalez 54 Posted May 10, 2013 I was calling them again and again since april 9th which was my 6 month mark and they kept telling me the same thing about them working on apps from August 31st. Did a service request last week and got approved yesterday. So maybe the service request was what did it for my case, hopefully it does it for you. However I got my congresswoman involved in my case aswell so maybe that also helped. If you haven't contacted your congressman/woman about it, you should do it. latinagirl 46 Posted May 11, 2013 hi is unbelievable the things they tell you when you call me personally i call so many times and i can tell you that the senseless thing they tell you are crazy how about they told me when i call when it was 5 months of my application that there was an officer been assign to my case !! or that they were still review application of July 2012 and i can go on and on because i used to call one a week and finally after 6 months a half i got approved trust me if you hang in there and when you call you get a nice representative you will get to talk to a level 2 officer or representative and he or she would be nice enough to tell you a bit more about your case Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

marisol143 6 Posted May 11, 2013 Diego, I was like you I have been waiting for 7 months and finally I got approve today. I use to call them almost every other day, cheking my status online every day mornings,afternoons. I did something someone told me I contact my ccongresswoman from my state and email/faxed her and asking her for help. I send her all my paper work and let her know my timeline. Her people contact me right away asking for more info. I swear to you that after a week later, I got approved. Maybe it was luck , maybe she did help don't know but you dont loose anything if you try it. Hope this help and good luck .
