Gezinha 121 Posted May 11, 2013 My question is as follows: Suppose you came here when you were 18 through Mexico, through the border, so, no passport stamp, and now you are 27 or so... then, if you were to apply for DACA, you would only have to show proof of 5 years back, from when you were 21 or 22 until now. I guess what I am saying is, if someone went through a process similar to this to get here, couldn't they apply for DACA and be accepted? Because they don't have proof they got here before or after 16 because their passports have never been stamped, I mean, how would immigration ever find out? chris23 19 Posted May 11, 2013 Not really, think about it you have to be enrolled in school at 16 if you arent you have some kind of documented reason to y you arent. Gezinha 121 Posted May 11, 2013 That is easy enough for anyone to acquire if they have the right connections. My husband's boss offered to write him a letter to say he was working since he was 16 for him, that is why he wans't in school when he was supposed to be. And also, pay stubs with your name on it from different dates to prove you were here when 16 are not hard to get if you are paid using a 1099. And since USCIS doesn't even call to check, that is a piece of cake. I wonder if anyone has tried to do it and actually got approved. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
