JoseG 383 Posted May 22, 2013 ohh okay, do you think it helps at least a little bit with the process? since they goverment people speak on my behalf? I'm not sure. I've seen someone contact their congressman and the response they got from them was the same one they would have gotten if they had done a service request, that the application needed further review. The only way I think it might help is if your application was past the current processing date and it was just sitting there behind later applicants. On the USCIS website it states that the Service Centers are currently working on September 30 applications. Other than that, I don't think they would speed up your application. Mizar1 2 Posted June 5, 2013 @JoseG, I tried my congressman when I was still within the "normal" processing time, and you are right they basically did an Inqury, something i could have done. But now I'm about to hit the 10th month of waiting, do you think if i try it again with my Congressman, he would help now? Sorry, I'm just desperate about this. Perhaps if you explain to your congressman that on the USCIS website it states that they are working on September 30 cases, meaning that your application should have already been processed, it might help.
