Arrested For Felony Never Convicted?

Recommended Posts

I was arrested for a felony going on seven yrs now. I was not however, convicted of it. Is there anyone out there that's in the same situation? Also I'm not sure how to go about filling in section 7 of the form anyone have an answer?

I'm not sure about the felony thing, but part 7 of form I-821D is there in case you need more space to write down more information.

If you don't need it, just leave it blank.

true, conviction is what they care about but you will still need to provide the paperwork of your arrest and that they case was dismissed. doing this will prevent USCIS from issuing a RFE and thus delaying your application.

i would explain that you were arrest, what for and that the case was dismissed, provide the according paperwork and include it all in your application

Definitely get a record from the court house. I got cited on a misdemeanor back in 2011, no charges ever filed, and I requested a document (to send in with my initial app) from the courthouse stating that my record was clear.

Go get a finger print scan google a place in your area. That will show you what your record will show USCIS.

If the incidents happened in the same county then u can go to ur local policecstation and they can give u a paper with ur record showing that it was dismissed. I got that paper at my local police station.
