What's the deal with people applying in 2013 and getting approved in 2-3 months, while some people who applied in 2012 are still waiting and most have their cases under "initial review"?

 

It doesn't make any sense to me. I am happy for those people, my sister being one of them, but I applied 8 months ago and still nothing on my case. What gives?

 

Also every time I call to get an update the operators are very rude.

9 Months on wednesday and I called today and this guy was very helpful today. I will be starting a post telling people what I was told. Where is your application being processed?

I've done 2 with uscis and emailed the NSC directly twice. I never received a response from Nebraska and uscis has given the same general response. Maybe something this week...maybe

I've contacted the main number for uscis but I'm not sure if they're the same. I tried again today and the customer service rep just said that she "heard Nebraska was taking longer..." I guess we just wait and hope for approvals soon!!!

its totally unfair to make the people who were ready from the get-go to wait that long
