asuarez1985 7 Posted July 16, 2013 I just got off the phone with a representative of USCIS who I inquired about my case. She told me that the reason why they still haven't made a decision on my case and why it still remained under "initial review" was that they are still waiting for my "security checks" to clear. I don't understand why my security checks have not cleared. I have never been accused, charged, detained or convicted of any crime in this country or my country of birth. I even sent a clearance sheet from my local police department in the application stating that I had never committed anything unlawful. So why the hold up? I am confused and frustrated because it has been 8 months since I filed my application.
Dreamer3oh3 40 Posted July 16, 2013 Dude I was told sometimes they feed you lies so you stop calling them. How long has it been since you filed? They told my lawyer my case was being reviewed for fraud and I called today and they didn't say that at all
asuarez1985 7 Posted July 16, 2013 It has been 8 months since I filed my application. Idk I'm just really desperate for some concrete information. I don't seem to be getting it from USCIS.
Dreamer3oh3 40 Posted July 16, 2013 Have you filed any service requests? And if so did you receive an answer in written form?
dottmello 5 Posted July 17, 2013 I'm sure it's because during that time many people were applying and thus extending the process and you should file service request like dreamer3oh3 said 1 Dreamer3oh3 reacted to this
