jenniv158 5 Posted July 26, 2013 just wondering.. after my DACA approval if i decide to get married with my baby's father who I've been with for 4 years, would i have to leave the country or anything like that? I came to the US legally with visa I just over stayed the time that i was given to be here and did not return to my country. Would that affect me in any way? just wondering. I've read that people have to leave the country but I'm not sure.
Dreamer3oh3 40 Posted July 28, 2013 I heard that thru a new law obama passed you wouldn't specially since you came here already with a visa. My friend and her hubby got married and she fixed his papers for him, he also arrived here with a visa and never left. And within 3 months he got his papers and didn't have to leave. luis30htx 8 Posted August 8, 2013 My friends brother got approved three months ago and he filed form I 130 and only took Hein 5 weeks to get a visa, you could use it dag they only ad a visa .to your permit till you get it permanently after two years and you don't have to go to next..) 1 Dreamer3oh3 reacted to this
tania_magaly 9 Posted September 16, 2013 It is called "adjustment of status" and it is very easy to get your permanent residency. All you have to do is fill out a couple of forms and he has to prove he can take care of you financially. If he can't, he would have to get a sponsor who does make enough money. All of this of course without you having to leave the country. The only reason people leave the country is to have in interview at Juarez, after filing a waiver for entering illegally, which is not your case because you entered legally; regardless as to how long you overstayed.
