Ironbrew 0 Posted August 11, 2013 I've already applied for DACA and currently playing the waiting game but I have a couple of questions regarding the SS# and driver's license. a.) I already have a SS card that says "Valid for work only with DHS authorization", if I do get approved for DACA, do I still have to apply for a new SS# or can I continue to use the one I have? It's not a fake, it is an official one given to me back when I still had legal status. b.) I live in AZ, which all of u know does not give out driver's license to people who have been granted DACA. I have an official AZ driver's license also given to me when I was still in legal status. It's expiration date is 2046. If I'm approved for DACA, what will happen to my DL? Will I be able to continue using it or will AZDOT somehow, if at all, invalidate it? c.) How do I add a signature below my posts? I also want to show the dates of importance regarding my DACA status. JoseG 383 Posted August 11, 2013 If you already have a real Social Security Number, you still need to go to the SSA to update your legal status information. You will keep the same number. I don't know about your AZ driver's license. Are you still currently using it to drive without any issues? To add a signature, click on your name on the upper right hand of this page. Then a drop down menu will appear, click on My settings. Then click on Signature on the left hand side of the screen.
Ironbrew 0 Posted August 11, 2013 I've been using my driver's license for driving yes. But I haven't been pulled over yet as i have been very careful with regards to the driving laws. I don't give anyone a chance to pull me over. Since my legal status expired, I usually update my driver's license online and get it renewed (address change) that way. But since Brewer came into office, she has since denied people going that route. So I haven't updated my DL since '09 but its still valid and has its uses but then again, like I said I haven't run into trouble with the law to find out.
