I Got A Call From The Uscis Telling Me That If I Had Any Other Additional Evidence

Recommended Posts

I had to show evidence from Jan to Jun I sent some affidavits, and pictures from facebook where clearly shows the date on, 2012 taxes that my dad had me. The woman told me that they don't accept facebook evidence anymore for some reason, she told me if I had any other. I honestly that all I got, I sent what I could. She said she will be holding on my case for the next 48 hours and gave me her FAX number just in case if I find anything to send it to her.

Now I just lost so much hope, I can't believe this happen after 10 months of waiting I get RFE I send back my evidence, then I get this?.. Is just stupid..

She gave you her fax number but what about her phone number? I'm saying this just in case you need to get in contact with her to ask a question.

SHE herself should've given you examples of what they would accept. I'm surprised the taxes and affidavits thing wasn't enough. Don't lose hope, you're almost there! You're not gonna start losing hope now, you're stronger than that, you waited for 10 months.

Let's brainstorm and make a checklist, Is there "anything", at all that has your name on it from Jan - Jun?

I sent everything I could. I posted this same thing on some other website, some guy said it could be one of those scams, now it kinda got me wondering, I'm calling the USCIS I'm on waiting I will like to know if this is legit or not, I read in many websites that the USCIS only give notices and contact you through Mail. What you think of this?

I did think it was weird too that they called you.

I too don't think the USCIS would call anyone like that. Do you have the phone number on your caller ID that they called you with? Maybe we can look it up online.

My lawyer and I had a conversation the other day about USCIS calling. She told me they will call. She added that when I applied they didn't seem to investigate too much but now a lot of my clients that send in affidavits been receiving calls from USCIS.

So I called the USCSI and I talked to a level 2 representative officer and waited 2 hours to talk to one. They answered I asked them if they request for more evidence after RFE and through phone and they say they never ask for more evidence through phone that they will always send letters.

For some reason I'm still uneasy about this.. :(

That sounds very fishy, since its a gov agency idk why they would call. Anything to do with them is usually put in writing. When I spoke to a level 2 officer regarding my application, they sent me a letter for my record. I would email the service center that is processing your case directly and explain this situation. Also include the phone number you got the call from, date & time you received the call and the fax number that was given to you. The call could be legit, but you have to play safe because this is a one time shot of either getting approved or denied

i still think that person's experience is very fishy.. the blog link wgatap posted should pretty much squash any notion about uscis calling and asking for personal information

He wasn't asked for personal information nor money over the phone though. He was asked for additional proof and was told that the facebook evidence he sent as a response to his RFE wasn't valid. That's not something a scammer would know.

The call could be real. It just raises suspicion since the OP called USCIS & they said they wouldn't call for something like that. It wouldn't hurt to just send the fax since you're only proving continuous residence.

Yeah, but these are the same people that were letting DACA applicants make Service Requests on their I-765 application after just 3 months of waiting without having their I-821D approved even though the USCIS website stated that it couldn't be done.

I'm sure if you call USCIS and ask if you could walk-in for your Biometrics appointment they will tell you no, but of course many people have done it without a problem.

USCIS reps say many different things so I see why some people would be suspicious, but they're not always correct.
