asuarez1985 7 Posted September 1, 2013 Hey everyone, its been a little over 9 months since my application was received at the Dallas, TX. lockbox and I still haven't gotten a decision on my case. My application was then sent to the USCIS Service Center in Nebraska but even after contacting them the information they gave me on the status of my case has been limited. After several phone calls, emails and one e-request, the only update I was able to get from them was them telling me that they were still waiting for my "security checks" to clear. I don't understand what the hold up on my "security checks" is. I have never been accused, charged or convicted of any crime in this country or my country of birth. I even sent a police clearance sheet with my application. I have written numerous letters and emails to my congressman, I have met with my lawyer, but nothing. USCIS only keeps telling me to wait. I don't know what other steps to take. Does anyone have any advice that might be helpful regarding my case?
