Nataly@z 3 Posted September 16, 2013 My name is Nataly. I'm 28 yr old, and I've been here since 1989. I'm so happy that I don't have to be in the shadows no more. My father applied for my mother, brother and me....but he said never mind...it really never affected me until my senior year in high school. I tried to join the military and got turned down. I though well maybe if I work hard and save money I can convince my dad to fix my papers. Well I tried...I saved money...and little did I know that since my mom was the first one on the application she had to fix before my brother and I..so I gave ul on it...my dad said he wasn't gona fix my papers because it wasn't gona benefit him. I didn't understand how my father was thinking that way... Well I got married to my Marine boyfriend and we have now been maried for 10 yrs...during his military career we talked to several lawyers and they told us he can apply for me but run the risk od getting deported to mexico...I really get scared of going out to Mexico, since we have 3 kids and can't afford to leave my kids..plus I really don't know my family in Mexico. So my husband and I decided to wait for a law... I sent my applicatio. Sep 4, 2013...I received a letter stating that they received my fee and application...I'm praying that I get approved. .I want to give my kids a better future. Nancy Mora 12 Posted September 16, 2013 Theres always a reason why everything happens a friend my mom always asked her why she went back to Mexico when my brother and I were going to be born, he basically answered his own question by saying that we wouldnt appreciate what we have as much if we did have it in a way he was right we sometimes do underestimate the little things the what ifs but we have to be strong and continue to fight i wish you the best of luck and your application will be approved soon dont lose hope or patience as all of us in this forum have been there. My application itself just got approved and i sent it since November of 2012. Just have patience and hope

Theresa 63 Posted September 16, 2013 If the petition that was filed on your father's behalf was aproved before April 2001, you may be eligible for 245-i. (grandfathered 245-I) This allows you to change of status if your husband petitions for you if you entered illegally (without leaving the country)
