jenniv158 5 Posted September 16, 2013 Once you are approved for DACA are you required to enroll into a school for the next two years that your DACA is valid for? I was wondering because I'm having a hard time trying to enroll into a vocational college that I want to go to and instead have decided to start working first. I heard that if you do not go to school they take away your DACA stuff. Is this true ?
sotero_gonzalez 54 Posted September 16, 2013 I don't think its true. A lot of people I know stopped going to school once approved for DACA and are just working now. However there's nothing more powerful than an education. You should keep trying to get into this vocational school and if you can then work AND go to school. Just my 2 cents. Theresa 63 Posted September 16, 2013 The people that need to go to school, are the ones who are working towards high school or GED because is a contingent requirement for DACA. The EAD is renewable so i suggest to give them what they want from you. (High school diploma or GED). If dream act was to pass then you will have to be a college graduate. DACA and Dream Act are two different things with different school level requirements
