The initial application for the waiting list only asks or a few things and a social security number to be written down. Hopefully by then, they accept what ever status you would be in... roadrunner11 167 Posted September 29, 2013 Hi there! I don't have experience with public housing but most private apartment complexes require a valid SSN and some sort of legal status. I was able to rent a place before DACA and they just used my ITIN number. At my current place, they ran my SSN and because it was so new I had to present more proof. I think the system flagged it.
