asuarez1985 7 Posted October 23, 2013 USCIS sent me a RFE on Sep. 5 which I responded to on Oct. 9 by sending all the additional evidence they requested. On Oct. 11 I got an email saying that they had received the evidence I sent them which brought me some calm. Its almost been two weeks since they last contacted me. Does anyone know approximately how long it takes for USCIS to make a decision on a case after a RFE has been responded to?

asuarez1985 7 Posted December 9, 2013 Thanks everyone. I have been waiting over a year to get a decision on my case. I applied on Nov.23 2012. I've been hearing that somehow people that applied on November of last year are the ones who have been waiting longer than expected, some of us over a year. I'm supposed to get a response on my RFE by Dec. 11 which is this Wednesday. I don't know what to think or expect after waiting so long.

I called USCIS and asked for a service request about this issue; 4 days later I received a responsed to my service request and this is what it read: U.S. Department of Homeland Security P.O. Some of the key information given to us at that time was the following: Caller indicated they are: -- Applicant or Petitioner Attorney Name: Type of service requested: -- Outside Normal Processing Times The status of this service request is: Recently, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-821D / I-765 to notify us that you believe your case is outside of our normal processing time. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved. Your petition/application is still pending consideration. We regret that we are not able to give you a timeframe for when we will complete the review of your petition/application. I guess I just have to keep nagging them everyday until I get a response that's different from this.
