dreamer1991 0 Posted October 31, 2013 Hello guys, I am new to this forum. I have a question regarding my credit history. I previously built my credit with a made up social security. I have finally received my employment authorization card and my newly assigned SSN. I don't know if it is possible to transfer the credit history from a made up SSN to a SSN assigned by the Social Security Administration. I have heard some people say that it is not possible, only credit built using your ITIN. However, other people say that it is possible by sending a letter to the 3 credit bureaus and by contacting/going in person to the banks that you currently have credit cards with. I am a bit confused and scared because I have good credit and I wouldn't like to lose it but I don't want to get into problems either. Please let me know if any of you are going through this aswell. Tafollita 1 Posted November 3, 2013 I dont think is possible, Just an opinion. The worst in your case is that you will have to start from scratch.
Theresa 63 Posted November 4, 2013 I'm sure it could be possible by changing from the fake one to the new one if you actually let each company know that you have a "new number" and that way it could be part of those accounts
