Advance Parole

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I want to applied for a humanitarian parole because my grandfather has many brain tumors and he might live for 3 months max...and my paternal grandmother is also very sick the doctors are not optimistic. I would like to see the my grandparents for one last time because if i get approve i don't want to stay for too long many 3 to 4 days. But I'm scare if i get approve and to come back to the U.S. I was wondering if anyone know anything about and how long the whole process would it take? Thank you

Its basically applying to leave the US for a while but it has to be humantarian for example for school to study abroad, a sick relative and some other things fall under there check out the USCIS website :)

It doesn't take that long. I read about a girl that applied for Advanced Parole and she said the process was really fast. I just can't remember exactly how long it took. She went to Mexico because she had to take some classes in Queretaro. But everything went well, she was able to re-enter US territory without any problems

Ohhh, I thought they fell into different categories. This is really good to know, I am going to apply to go to Brazil next year for treatment (health issues). I really hope I can get there and back, it will, at least, give me a perspective on the future to make a better decision since it clearly seems like immigration reform is on hold for another 3-4 years here. Oh well.
