ann3089 0 Posted November 22, 2013 Hello everyone, I want to applied for a humanitarian parole because my grandfather has many brain tumors and he might live for 3 months max...and my paternal grandmother is also very sick the doctors are not optimistic. I would like to see the my grandparents for one last time because if i get approve i don't want to stay for too long many 3 to 4 days. But I'm scare if i get approve and to come back to the U.S. I was wondering if anyone know anything about and how long the whole process would it take? Thank you

Nancy Mora 12 Posted November 24, 2013 Its basically applying to leave the US for a while but it has to be humantarian for example for school to study abroad, a sick relative and some other things fall under there check out the USCIS website
Gezinha 121 Posted November 25, 2013 I know, but humanitarian, educational and family leave are different things.
JoseG 383 Posted November 25, 2013 Hmm..how is that humanitarian parole? Humanitarian purposes, such as travel to obtain medical treatment, attend funeral services for a family member, or visit an ailing relative. http://www.uscis.gov/i-131 1 Gezinha reacted to this
erika020 87 Posted November 25, 2013 It doesn't take that long. I read about a girl that applied for Advanced Parole and she said the process was really fast. I just can't remember exactly how long it took. She went to Mexico because she had to take some classes in Queretaro. But everything went well, she was able to re-enter US territory without any problems 1 Gezinha reacted to this
Gezinha 121 Posted November 25, 2013 Ohhh, I thought they fell into different categories. This is really good to know, I am going to apply to go to Brazil next year for treatment (health issues). I really hope I can get there and back, it will, at least, give me a perspective on the future to make a better decision since it clearly seems like immigration reform is on hold for another 3-4 years here. Oh well.
