14 Months And Still Nothing

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

It has been 14 months since I applied for DACA and all USCIS can tell me is that my "petition/application is still pending consideration".

I really don't know what to do anymore. I have exhausted every avenue to try and speed up the process, I have made numerous calls and service requests to USCIS and still nothing. I even contacted my senator and he responded with a letter asking me to help support some legislation that he was trying to pass. WTF right?!

I just hope they give me an answer soon. I have let many opportunities pass me by because of my status in this country.

Applied: 11-23-2012

Biometrics: 12-21-2012

R.F.E. Sent: 9-5-2013

R.F.E. Response: 10-11-2013

Last Service Request Made: 1-13-2014

Response to Service Request: Pending

I don't have a criminal record. I have never been arrested, all I have are a couple of tickets that were taken care off. I don't know why this is taking so long.

@adol and everyone who replied to this post,

It seems that the supervisor to whom my case was forwarded to really got things going; I was approved this morning and my card I was told, should be arriving soon.

Thank you all for your kind words of support, it sure made the wait a little easier.

@Dariela,  call USCIS(1-800-375-5283) and wait to speak to an operator. Ask the operator you want to place a service request because your case is beyond normal processing times. They will ask you for your receipt number so make sure to have that ready. Also keep writing emails and letters to the service center where your application is being processed.
