Yes, you need to send copies of all of the documents you will be submitting. They will keep all of the papers, so if you send an original, you won't get it back.

If they need to see an original document, they will let you know when they mail you your Biometrics appointment to bring it in to the appointment.

When sending everything do I send it in a big brown envelope . And would I send all applications together

You need to send everything together, the forms, the money, the passport photos, your documents.

I sent mine in a hard white envelope that they sell at my local UPS store. It is for documents so that they don't get folded.
