Arlenea87 0 Posted March 3, 2014 Hello everyone, I just wanted to share my husband's situation in case some of you have similar stories. My husband applied and his application was received March 26, 2013. His criminal record had us a little worried. He has a petty theft and various driving without a license/ driving with a suspended license (not sure exactly how many, but definitely more than 4). His case was processed in Nebraska Service Center. His lawyer called USCIS once at 8 months of waiting, all they said is they were waiting on security clearance. A month later he filed an e-request online and got a response saying it was "pending adjudication". A month later (10 months waiting) he emailed our congresswoman (we live in Los Angeles, CA). She emailed him saying she called USCIS and they said the same thing "pending adjudication", to wait 90 days before inquiring again. So a month later, on Feb 28, 2014 he decides to check his status in the morning and finds out he has been approved!!! We don't know if contacting our congresswoman helped or not, but it doesn't hurt to try. Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know because everyday I would come in this forum to read the posts to see if anyone that had a similar criminal background had been approved. Patience is key!! Don't lose hope!!
